A Great Place For A Romantic Getaway Vacation

Phuket, Thailand would be on many people's romantic getaway destination list.  Phuket is world renowned for its pristine beaches and turquoise waters.  However, Phuket has much more to offer for a romantic getaway.  For a start, there is so many things to see and do besides hanging out at the beach.  Phuket's unique charm come from things like it's Sino-Portuguese architectural heritage, its delicious food and the friendly locals.  Phuket, like many parts of Thailand, is culturally dominated by Chinese and Buddhist influences.
 

 

The best time to visit Phuket for the sea activities is from November to May. This is when the water is crystal clear amd ideal for diving or snorkelling.  Check out the Phi Phi Islands, which is a group of islands about 40 km southeast of Phuket. Phi Phi Islands have awesome rock walls jutting out from crystal clear waters.  The many coves shelter fabulous white sandy beaches.

The Similan Islands is the perfect place for diving if you and your partner want to feature this as part of your romantic getaway.  Whale sharks and manta rays are common attractions.  With amazing corals formations and crystal clear water, it is no wonder that the Similan Islands group is ranked as one of the top 10 diving destinations in the world.

If you are not into diving or snorkelling, no worries. A trip to the Phang Nga Bay, with its mystic rock formations rising high above the sea, is a worthwhile trip. Take your partner on a starlight canoe trip to explore the Phang Nga Bay caves. It is so special that the tour operators call it a spiritual experience rather than a tour. Of course, you can also paddle by yourself to explore the limestones karsts, caves and hidden lagoons that are plentiful in Phang Nga Bay.


There are many other things to do in Phuket besides the sea activities. Get up close with the local friendly giants by going on an elephant trek. A typical safari tour offers a good glimpse of the local life in the rural areas. Or try horse back riding and explore the trails through grasslands, beaches and golf courses.

For the more touristy stuff, there are the city cultural tours, the Phuket FantaSea theme park and the famous Thailand seaside night life. Phuket has so many things to offer that you will probably want to re-visit over and over again.  Romancing Phuket is definitely a great idea for a romantic getaway vacation.
